8 Accounts You Should Follow on Twitter

Hi, my name is Kate, and I'm addicted to Twitter.

Okay, I joke, I'm not addicted, but I do really love it and read it every day. It's a great way to keep up with news and trends without having to pick through all kinds of articles and content that I'm not always interested in reading.

So many people and companies have Twitter accounts and post on them daily. Being interested in public relations, social media (or media in general) and marketing, I follow a lot of Twitter accounts of people and companies in this industry. Here are some of my favorites - they offer awesome information and great insights.

Mashable // The one-stop spot for all things tech, social media, business, entertainment and more. Mashable is definitely one of my favorite sites and their Twitter feed is awesome at sharing their content.

Medium // All things media, business, industry... and anyone can make an account and write a post. I love open sites like that.

Contently // I haven't found an article on this site that I didn't like. Each post is packed with information and insights on content marketing, social media, strategy and so much more.

Kim Garst // I've mentioned her blog on here before, but her Twitter feed is just awesome. It's a mix of links to her blog posts, all sorts of outside content, and inspirational quotes about working hard and chasing your dreams.

Content Marketing // I started following this site last summer when I was writing a white paper for my internship. Definitely one of the best resources for all things content marketing and strategy!

PR News // It's exactly what it sounds like: all the best PR news and trends in one place. If you're into PR (or want to be in PR), I highly recommend giving this a follow.

AP Interactive // Honest moment: I had no idea this existed until recently.

PR Daily // Last but not least... PR, advertising, marketing, social media and everything in between. Their tips posts (like writing, style, etc.) are great reminders, especially when I haven't had to write in a certain way in a while.

And two bonus tips:

Your favorite morning show // I'm a huge fan of Good Morning America, and they rock their social media. I love their Instagram just as much as their Twitter.

Your favorite lifestyle magazine // My mom has subscribed to Good Housekeeping and Southern Living for as long as I can remember. Their social media is as awesome as their print magazines.

Who do you follow on Twitter? Who/what would you add to this list?
